ÖZET
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, yalın yönetim araçlarından olan 5S yöntemini bir kamu hastanesi patoloji laboratuvarında uygulamak, çalışma ortamındaki israf nedenlerini ortadan kaldırmak, çalışanlara daha düzenli ve verimli çalışabilecekleri bir iş alanı oluşturmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: 5S yöntemi, çalışma alanlarında belirlenen israf nedenlerinin ortadan kaldırılması için kullanılan bir yalın yönetim tekniğidir. Bu çalışmada, 5S yönteminin uygulanması için literatür bilgilerine dayalı olarak belirlenen ve beş adımdan oluşan bir metodoloji geliştirilmiştir. Bu adımlar, uygulama ekibinin oluşturulması, 5S alanının belirlenmesi ve hazırlanması, amaç ve hedeflerin belirlenerek çalışanlara duyurulması, uygulama planının hazırlanması ve uygulamanın hayata geçirilmesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Bulgular: 5S uygulamasında sınıflandır ve sırala adımları ile laboratuvarda bulunan gereksiz malzemeler elimine edilmiş, mevcut durumda kullanılan malzemeler kullanım sıklığı dikkate alınarak yeniden konumlandırılmıştır. Bu sayede laboratuvarda malzeme, zaman ve hareket israflarının önüne geçilmiştir. Sil adımı ile daha temiz, düzenli, iş kazalarının ve hataların önceden engellenebileceği bir çalışma ortamı oluşturulmuştur. Standartlaştır adımında yöntemin düzenli kullanılması için '5S Kontrol Formu' oluşturulmuştur. Sürdür adımı için ise denetim ve eğitim programları planlanmıştır. Sonuç: 5S uygulaması sonucunda daha temiz, düzenli, iş kazalarının ve hataların önceden engellenebileceği bir çalışma ortamı oluşturulmuştur. Bu çalışma aynı zamanda patoloji laboratuarında yalın yönetim kültürünün oluşturulması için temel oluşturmaktadır. 5S uygulamasının sürdürülmesinin, laboratuvarda hata oranlarının azalmasını sağlayacağı ileri sürülmektedir.

ABSTRACT
Objective: The aim of this study is to apply the 5S, which is one of the lean management tools, in a public hospital pathology laboratory, to eliminate the causes of waste in the working environment, to create a working area where employees can work more organized and efficiently. Material and Methods: 5S is a lean management technique used to eliminate the causes of waste in the working areas. In this study, a five-phases methodology was developed for the 5S based on the literature. These were determined by forming the team, determining and preparing the 5S area, identifying the objectives and announcing the employees, preparation of the implementation plan and implementation. Results: In the 5S application, unnecessary materials in the laboratory were eliminated and repositioned according to its frequency of use. In this way, materials, time and movement wastes in the laboratory were prevented. A cleaner, organized work environment was created in which work accidents and errors could be prevented beforehand with the shine step. In the standardization step, '5S Control Form' was created for regular use of the method. Audit and training programs are planned for the sustain step. Conclusion: As a result of the 5S, a cleaner, organized working environment was created where work accidents and errors could be prevented beforehand. This study also provides the basis for the creation of a lean management culture in the pathology laboratory. It is suggested that the continuation of 5S will cause a decrease in the error rates in the laboratory.

8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT
