Objective: The aim of the study was to determine foot care behaviors of individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Material and Methods: The study was carried out in descriptive research Type. The study consisted between November 2016 and May 2017 in a training and research hospital in İstanbul. The sample group consisted of 340 individuals with Type 2 diabetes. The data of the study were collected with the Information Form, Diabetic Foot Care Self-Efficacy Scale and Foot Care Behavior Scale. Results: The mean age of the patients with Type 2 diabetes was 53.11±9.57 and the majority (60%) were female. The mean score of the Diabetic Foot Care Self-Efficacy Scale of the participants was 37.89±12.66, and the mean score of the Foot Care Behavior Scale was 50.32±9.97, and there was a positive relationship between them (r=0.707; p=0.000). There was a statistically significant difference between participants' educational status, income level, frequency of diabetes control, diabetic foot care education, foot injury status, hospitalization status due to diabetic foot, and mean scores of scales (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was determined that the diabetic foot self efficacy and foot care behaviors of the participants were insufficient and differed according to the educational status, income status, frequency of going to control, educational status, foot wound formation and hospitalization due to diabetic foot.
