Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, elit düzey taekwondo sporcularının izokinetik diz kuvveti profillerinin incelenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma, ''taekwondo and isokinetic and knee'' anahtar kelimeleri kullanılarak, Web of Science ve Scopus veri tabanları üzerinde yapıldı.

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the isokinetic knee strength profiles of elite taekwondo athletes. Material and Methods: The research was conducted on Web of Science and Scopus databases using the keywords ''taekwondo and isokinetic and knee''. Eleven studies were included in the review, and knee flexion-extension data of elite athletes aged 17 and over were analyzed by considering the gender factor. The obtained data were analyzed with Excel (Microsoft Office 365), mean and standard deviations were calculated. Results: In the examination, it was determined that the most preferred angular velocities in taekwondo players were 60˚/sec and 180˚/sec. dominant extension performance at angular velocities of 60˚/sec and 180˚/sec was found to be 235.84±5.67 and 143.52±3.88 (Nm) in men, and 133.14±4.15 and 116.53±4.54 (Nm) in women, respectively. Dominant flexion performance was found to be 113.42±4.46 and 91.30±4.19 (Nm) in males, 80.32±3.73 and 70.36±4.12 (Nm) in females, respectively. The peak extension torque values of the athletes in non-dominant extremities were 234.70±5.33 and 141.69±3.96 (Nm) in men and 125.92±4.38 and 115.12±4.73 (Nm) in women, respectively. The nondominant flexion peak torque values of the athletes were 109.25±4.68 and 89.04±4.68 (Nm) in men, and 74.29±4.06 and 66.82±3.85 (Nm) in women, respectively. Conclusion: This study is the first to compile existing studies focusing on isokinetic knee strength of taekwondo athletes and is an important reference for the formation of isokinetic knee strength norms of elite taekwondo athletes. The studies examined and the findings obtained within the scope of the research show that taekwondo works the lower extremities as a whole and develops the hamstring and quadriceps muscles of both legs in a balanced way.
