Amaç: Araştırma, Türkiye'de yaşayan Suriyeli mülteci kadınlara insan papilloma virüs farkındalığına ilişkin çevrim içi eğitimin etkinliğini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma, tek grup ön-test ve son-test modeline dayalı yarı deneysel tasarımdadır. Türkiye'nin güneyinde bir ilde yaşayan Suriyeli mülteci kadınlar (n=126) ile çevrim içi olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Google Form üzerinden Şubat-Haziran 2023 tarihleri aralığında, kişisel bilgi formu ve Human Papilloma Virüsü (HPV) Bilgi Ölçeği ile çevrim içi toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmada yer alan kadınların yaş ortalaması 39,46±7,29, %57,9'u çalışmamakta, %53,2'si ortaöğretim mezunu, %70,6'sı multipar olup; %98,4'ü HPV aşısı, %90,5'i pap smear testi yaptırmadıklarını ve %90,5'i ise HPV eğitimi almadıklarını belirtmiştir. Kadınların eğitim öncesine göre eğitim sonrası HPV bilgi (χ2 =236,13; p<0,001), HPV tarama (χ2 =222,947; p<0,001), HPV aşı bilgisi (χ2 =42,004; p<0,001), HPV aşılama program bilgisi (χ2 =109,596; p<0,001) ve HPV toplam (χ2 =201,54; p<0,001) puanları arasında anlamlı fark elde edilmiştir. Buna göre eğitimden hemen sonra ile eğitimden bir ay sonraki HPV bilgi, HPV tarama, HPV aşı bilgisi, HPV aşılama program bilgisi ve HPV toplam puan ortalamaları eğitimden önceki puan ortalamalarından daha yüksek elde edilmiştir. Sonuç: Mevcut çalışmada; HPV farkındalığı, verilen eğitim sonrasında olumlu yönde artmış, eğitimden bir ay sonra ise bu artış bir miktar azalmakla birlikte eğitim öncesine göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur.

Objective: The research was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of online training on human papilloma virus awareness for Syrian refugee women living in Türkiye. Material and Methods: The research has a quasi-experimental design based on a single group pre-test and posttest model. It was conducted online with Syrian refugee women (n=126) living in a province in southern Türkiye. It was collected online via Google Form between February and June 2023, using a personal information form and the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Information Scale. Results: The average age of the women in the study was 39.46±7.29, 57.9% were not working, 53.2% were secondary school graduates, 70.6% were multiparous; 98.4% stated that they had not received the HPV vaccine, 90.5% had not had a pap smear test, and 90.5% had not received HPV training. A significant difference was found between women's HPV knowledge (χ2 =236.13; p<0.001), HPV screening (χ2 =222.947; p<0.001), HPV vaccination knowledge (χ2 =42.004; p<0.001), HPV vaccination program knowledge (χ2 =109.596; p<0.001) and HPV total scores (χ2=201.54; p<0.001) after the training compared to before the training. Accordingly, HPV knowledge, HPV screening, HPV vaccine knowledge, HPV vaccination program knowledge and HPV total score averages immediately after the training and one month after the training were higher than the mean scores before the training. Conclusion: In the current study, HPV awareness increased positively after the training, and although this increase decreased slightly one month after the training, it was found to be higher than before the training.
