ÖZET
Amaç: Çocuklarının raşitizmden korumak için güneş ışığına maruz kalmalarına yönelik annelerin yaptıkları uygulamaların belirlenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma, Türkiye'de bulunan bir üniversite hastanesinde tanımlayıcı nitelikte yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2016 Nisan-2017 Aralık tarihleri arasında 0-2 yaşındaki çocuğu hastanede yatan, ulaşılabilen tüm anneler oluşturmuş; herhangi bir örneklem seçim yöntemine gidilmeden, uygulamanın yapıldığı zamanda hastanede olan, seçilme kriterlerine uyan ve araştırmaya katılmak isteyen 169 anne araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Çalışma kapsamına 18 yaş ve üstü olan, kognitif ve bilişsel fonksiyonları iyi olan, iletişim kurulabilen, 0-2 yaşında çocuğu olan ve araştırmaya katılmaya istekli anneler alınmıştır. Araştırmada, veriler literatürden yararlanılarak geliştirilen anket formu ile hastanede annelerle yüz yüze görüşülerek toplanmıştır. Etik kurul ve araştırmanın yapılacağı hastaneden yazılı, annelerden sözel ve yazılı izin alınmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik ki-kare testi analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Annelerin %76,9'unun çocuğunu güneşe çıkarttığı, güneşe çıkan çocukların %48,5'inin genelde günde bir kez güneşe çıkarıldığı ve güneşe çıkanların %73,8'inin güneş ışığını direkt aldığı saptanmıştır. Çocuğun yaşı arttıkça güneş ışığını direkt alan çocuk sayısı artmaktadır. Çocuğun yaşına göre güneş ışığını alma şekli, aldığı bölgelerin etkilendiği saptanmıştır. Annenin eğitim durumunun çocuğun güneş ışığını alma şekli, aldığı bölgeleri etkilemediği bulunmuştur. Çocukların hiçbirinde raşitizm görülmemiştir. Sonuç: Çocukların tamamına yakını D vitamini almakta, çoğu güneşe çıkartılmakta ve raşitizm olan çocuk bulunmamaktadır. Annenin eğitim durumunun çocukların güneş ışığına maruz kalmasına etkisi olmadığı saptanmıştır. Çocukların güneş ışığını alması raşitizm açısından önemlidir.

ABSTRACT
Objective: The study aims to determine the practices applied by mothers regarding sunlight exposure to protect their children from rickets. Material and Methods: The descriptive study was conducted at a University Research Hospital in Turkey. The universe of the study consisted of all reachable mothers of 0-2 years old children hospitalized between April 2016-December 2017, and the sample consisted of 169 mothers who were in the hospital at the time of the application, who met the selection criteria and who agreed to participate in the study were included in the research. Mothers who were 18 years old or older, who had good cognitive functions, who were able to communicate, who had children between 0-2 years of age and who were willing to participate in the study were taken into study content. Survey data were collected by a questionnaire developed in line with the literature. The data were collected by face to face interviews with mothers in the hospital. Prior to conduct the study, the approval of the ethics committee, permission from the studied hospital and verbal and written consents of the mothers were obtained. Percentages and chi-square test was used in the evaluation of the data. Results: It was determined that 76.9% of the mothers sunbathing her child, 48.5% of the sunbathed children was out once a day in general, and 73.8% of them was exposed direct sunlight. The number of children who take direct sunlight is increasing as the children's age increases. The sunbathing type, sunbathed areas were found to be affected by the age of the children. And, it was found that sunbathing type, sunbathed areas were not affected by the maternal education status. None of the children had rickets. Conclusion: Nearly all of the children were getting vitamin D, most of them were taken to the sunlight and there were no children with rickets. it was found that children's sunlight exposure were not affected by the maternal education status. It is important for children to be exposed to sunshine in terms of prevention of rickets.

1. TERMS OF USE

1.1. - Providing scientific articles, books and informative publications for health industry.

- Providing structural, statistical and editorial support to article preparation stage for scientific journals.

4. GENERAL PROVISIONS

4.1. "Turkiye Klinikleri" is completely free to determine which of the services and contents provided in the "SITE" will be charged.

4.2. People benefiting from the services provided by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and using the website can use the "SITE" only according to the law and only for personal reasons. Users have the criminal and civil liability for every process and action they take in the "SITE". Every USER agrees, declares and undertakes that they will not proceed by any function or action infringement of rights of "Turkiye Klinikleri"s and/or other third parties', they are the exclusive right holder on usage, processing, storage, made public and revealing any written, visual or auditory information reported to Turkiye Klinikleri" and/or "SITE" to the third parties. "USER"s have to make the changes and/or corrections "Turkiye Klinikleri" required immediately. Any changes and/or corrections that are required by "Turkiye Klinikleri", may be made by "Turkiye Klinikleri" when needed. Any harm, criminal and civil liability resulted or will result from changes and/or corrections required by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and were not made on time by the "USER"s belongs completely to the users.

4.8. "Turkiye Klinikleri" may give links through the "SITE" to other websites and/or "CONTEXT"s and/or folders that are outside of their control and owned and run by third parties. These links are provided for ease of reference only and do not hold qualification for support the respective web SITE or the admin or declaration or guarantee for the information inside. "Turkiye Klinikleri" does not hold any responsibility over the web-sites connected through the links on the "SITE", folders and context, the services or products on the websites provided through these links or their context.

4.9. "Turkiye Klinikleri" may use the information provided to them by the "USERS" through the "SITE" in line with the terms of the "PRIVACY POLICY" and "USER CONTRACT". It may process the information or classify and save them on a database. "Turkiye Klinikleri" may also use the USER's or visitor's identity, address, e-mail address, phone number, IP number, which sections of the "SITE" they visited, domain type, browser type, date and time information to provide statistical evaluation and customized services.

5.1. 7. FORCE MAJEURE

"Turkiye Klinikleri" is not responsible for executing late or never of this hereby "Terms of Use", privacy policy and "USER Contract" in any situation legally taken into account as force majeure. Being late or failure of performance or non-defaulting of this and similar cases like this will not be the case from the viewpoint of "Turkiye Klinikleri", and "Turkiye Klinikleri" will not have any damage liability for these situations. "Force majeure" term will be regarded as outside of the concerned party's reasonable control and any situation that "Turkiye Klinikleri" cannot prevent even though it shows due diligence. Also, force majeure situations include but not limited to natural disasters, rebellion, war, strike, communication problems, infrastructure and internet failure, power cut and bad weather conditions.

8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT
