Objective: To compare retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (RNFLT) and choroidal thickness (CT) measurement in eyes with pseudoexfoliation syndrome, pseudoexfoliation glaucoma and healthy control subjects. Material and Methods: Twenty three eyes of 12 patients with pseudoexfoliative syndrome (group 1), 29 eyes of 15 patients with pseudoexfoliative glaucoma (group 2), and 52 healty eyes of 26 healthy subjects in the similar age (group 3) were in the study. RNLFT (average and quadrants) and CT (subfoveal, nasal 500 μm, 1.500 μm, 2.000 μm and temporal 500 μm, 1.500 μm, 2.000 μm) were measured by using Cirrus SD OCT. Data was compared statistically and p value of <0,05 was accepted as significant level. Results: When group 2 was compared with control group (group 3) in terms of average and quadrants RNFLT measurement and CT (subfoveal, nasal 500 μm, 1500 μm, 2000 μm and temporal 500 μm, 1.500 μm, 2.000 μm) measurement, a significant difference was determined statistically in all parameters (p<0.05). Group 1 was compared with group 3 and a significant difference was determined in all parameters excluding RNFLT values in nasal and temporal quadrants. Conclusion: Compared to healty individuals, RNFLT and CT measurement were more thin in the case of pseudoexfoliative glaucoma. However in the case of pseudoexfoliation syndrome, a significant thining was determined in all parameters excluding nasal and temporal quadrants RNFLT values.
