The most important cause of stress urinary incontinence in men is radical prostatectomy. The pathophysiology of postprostatectomy urinary incontinence includes intrinsic sphincter deficiency, neural injury, urethral support defects, and decreased membranous urethral length. Although the postprostatectomy urinary incontinence rate is decreasing due to the increase in the surgical experience, the prevalence of postprostatectomy urinary incontinence increases due to the increase in the number of radical prostatectomies due to the increase in population and increase in the expected life expectancy. Recently, synthetic male sling surgeries for postprostatectomy urinary incontinence have gained considerable popularity due to the low cost, less invasive structure and no need for mechanical manipulation during voiding. In this review, we aimed to present male sling options for postprostatectomy urinary incontinence treatment.
