Amaç: Bu in vitro çalışmanın amacı, farklı sinterleme sürelerinin yaşlandırılmış dental monolitik zirkonya seramiklerin renk ve translusensi üzerine etkilerini araştırmaktır. KHT grubunda standart sinterizasyon süresi değiştirildiğinde L*, a*, b* değerleri azalmıştır (p0,05) 1- 3 saat grubunda anlamlı şekilde azalmıştır. KHT grubunda standart sinterizasyon süresi değiştirildiğinde TP değerlerinde değişiklik olmazken, NHT grubunda sinterizasyon süresi uzadığında TP değerleri artmıştır (p>0,05). Sonuç: Standart sinterizasyon süresinin değiştirilmesi, yaşlandırılmış dental monolitik zirkonya seramiklerinin translusensi ve rengini önemli derecede etkiler.

Objective: The aim of this in vitro study was to investigate the effects of different sinterization durations on the color and translucency of aged dental monolithic zirconia ceramics. Material and Methods: 54 disc-shaped specimens of presinterized monolithic zirconia blocks [KATANA High Translusent (KHT) ve NexxZr High Translucent (NHT)] obtained by CAD/CAM technology according to 3 different sintering times at 1500 °C [1 hour, 2 hours (standard time recommended by the manufacturer) and 3 hours] divided into 6 groups (n=9). After sinterization process, hydrothermal aging with 5,000 cycles were applied. The specimens were kept in A2 color solution before sinterization. CIELab color coordinates were obtained from the spectrophotometer. The ∆E values were calculated with the formula and visual evaluation was evaluated. The translucency parameter (TP) was calculated. Data were analyzed by 2-way ANOVA, paired comparisons, and Fisher's LSD Test 'post hoc' (α=0.05). Results: In the aged monolithic zirconia groups, the change in sintering time before aging was important for TP and CIELab color coordinates. When the standard sinterization duration was changed in KHT, L*, a*, b* values decreased (p0.05), it decreased significantly in the 1-3 hours group. While there was no change in TP values when the standard sinterization duration was changed in KHT, TP values increased when the sinterization duration increased in NHT (p>0.05). Conclusion: Changing the standard sintering time significantly affects the translucency and color of aged dental monolithic zirconia ceramics.
