Nanopharmaceuticals developed to take advantage of the unique properties of different structures with nanotechnology approaches give very useful results in diagnosis, treatment and therapeutic applications. A review of the literature shows that nanopharmaceuticals are promising for our future, especially in increasing the effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment, reducing side effects by using low-dose active substances. The advantages of nanoparticle formulations used as nanopharmaceuticals over conventional drug delivery systems are quite clear in terms of clinical and literature. Examples of nanotechnological approaches and nanopharmaceuticals used in dentistry are; nanocomposites, nanoglass ionomers, nanoceramics, ceramic nano cells, nanometals, nanotechnological restorative materials, nanotechnological prosthetic materials and dental implants, nanotechnological orthodontic devices, nanotechnological endodontic devices, nanorobots, nano local anesthetics, nano needles, nanorobots used in orthodontics , nanorobots used in diagnosis, nanoparticles in imaging, nanotechnology in bone tissue engineering are given. With the increasing world population and the need for oral and dental health treatment, preventive dentistry practices are also developing rapidly. Demineralization and remineralization in the dental tissue are in a certain balance in the mouth, and the deterioration of this balance in the direction of demineralization initiates the formation of caries. The demineralization and remineralization cycle determines the prognosis of caries. While demineralization starts from the crystalline surface of the enamel, remineralization can be defined as the natural repair of lesions in which this cavitation is not observed. Remineralization agents have a very important place in preventive dentistry in terms of preventing dental caries. Within the scope of this review, first of all, remineralization agents that are frequently used in the literature and routinely used in the clinic are mentioned, and then information about nanopharmaceuticals prepared with remineralization agents in the literature is given. It is thought that this review will provide a foresight to pharmacists and dentists.
