Şiddet olaylarının %42,9'u polikliniklerde ve %27,1'i acil serviste meydana gelmiştir. Beyaz kod bildiriminde bulunanların %63,2'si hekimdir. Olayların %86,5'i sözel ve %13,5'i fiziksel olarak gerçekleşmiştir.

ABSTRACT

Therefore, in this study, it was aimed to retrospectively evaluate the white code data on violence experienced in a training and research hospital. Material and Methods: One hundred thirsty three white code data reported at Aksaray University Training and Research Hospital between January 2017 and December 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. Results: There were 22 applications for white code in 2017, 35 in 2018, 46 in 2019 and 30 in 2020. 42.9% of violent incidents occurred in outpatient clinics and 27.1% in emergency services. 63.2% of those reporting white code are physicians. 86.5% of the events were verbal and 13.5% were physical. 73.7% of them requested legal aid. 59.5% of the incidents were caused by the wrong attitudes and behaviors of the patients or their relatives. 43.6% of the violent incidents took place between 08.00 and 15.59 hours and 69.9% during the week. 15.0% of the cases occurred in March and 15.0% in July. 54.1% of the perpetrators are men and 52.6% are relatives of the patients. Conclusion: As a result, most of the cases were made by physicians, verbal violence was more than physical violence, and it occurred by the relatives of the patients in polyclinics and emergency services. In line with these findings, to prevent violence in health multidisciplinary practices such as improving the health care system and resources, enacting the law on violence in health, identifying the factors that feed violence in the society, and strengthening the coping and problem-solving skills of individuals have been suggested.
