Amaç: Bu çalışmada, bir aile sağlığı merkezine başvuran bireylerin organ bağışına ilişkin tutumlarının belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma, tanımlayıcı kesitsel tipte uygulandı. Çalışmaya 582 birey alındı. Veri toplamada, araştırmacılar tarafından güncel literatür kullanılarak hazırlanan Tanıtıcı Bilgiler Formu ve Organ Bağışı Tutum Ölçeği kullanıldı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya alınan bireylerin %58,2'sinin organlarını bağışlamak istediği, ancak sadece %3,3'ünün organ bağış kartı olduğu, %37,8'inin organ bağışını dini açıdan uygun görmediği için kabul etmediği, %74,1'inin organ bağışı hakkında bilgi sahibi olduğu ve %67'sinin organ bağış oranını artırmak için organ bağışının önemi konusunda toplumsal bilinçlendirme yapılmasını önerdiği saptandı. Bireylerin, Yardımseverlik ve Ahlaki Değer/ İnançlar (pozitif tutum) ölçek skorunun 95,52±20,80, toplam negatif tutum ölçek skorunun 58,19±21,35 olduğu ve organ bağışına yönelik pozitif tutum gösterdiği belirlendi. Çalışmada ayrıca organ nakli bilgisi olan, organ bağışını dini açıdan uygun bulan, öldükten sonra organlarını bağışlamak isteyen ve yakınında organ yetmezliği olan kişiler bulunan bireylerin pozitif ölçek skorunun daha yüksek, negatif tutum genel ve ölçek alt grup skorlarının daha düşük olduğu, gruplar arası farkın istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı olduğu belirlendi (p<0,05). Sonuç: Çalışmamızda, bireylerin organ bağışına yönelik pozitif tutum göstermesine rağmen bağış yapan birey oranının oldukça düşük olduğu belirlendi. Bu bulgular doğrultusunda, ülkemizde organ bağışı farkındalık programları ile toplumun organ bağışı konusunda sağlık profesyonelleri, dini liderler ve kitle iletişim araçları ile bilgilendirilmesi önerilmektedir.

Objective:This study aimed to determine attitude of individuals admitted a family center about organ donation. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design was conducted. Study participants consisted of 582 individuals. Data was collected by the researchers using the Descriptive Characteristics Information Form and Organ Donation Attitude Scale. Results: We identified that 58.2% of the individuals wanted to donate their organs but only 3.3% had organ donation cards, 37.8% of individuals did not want to donate their organs because of religious reasons, 74.1% had knowledge about organ donation and 67% suggested that there is a need to raise social awareness about the importance of organ donation to increase the rate of organ donation. It was determined that 'Humanity and Moral Conviction' scale score of sample was 95.52±20.80, Total Negative Attitude Scale score was 58.19±21.35 and people showed positive attitude towards organ donation. It was also found that individuals who had knowledge about organ donation, found organ donation acceptable in religious aspects, wanted to donate their organs and had a relative with organ failure had more higher positive attitude score and lower negative attitude score, the difference between groups was significantly (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that individuals had positive attitude toward organ donation, but the rate of individuals with an organ donation card was very low. We suggest that the public should be informed about organ donation through awareness programs by health professionals, religious leaders and mass media.
