Bulgular: Katılımcıların %54,5'i kadın ve grubun yaş ortalaması 37,45±13,70 bulunmuştur.

ABSTRACT
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the attitudes and behaviors of individuals over the age of 18 about traditional and complementary medicine methods and the factors affecting them. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted face-to-face with 323 people aged 18 and over who gave verbal consent in February 2023. In the study, a data collection form and ''Traditional and Complementary Medicine Attitude Scale'' were used. Data analysis was done with a statistical package program on computer. Results: The mean age of the group was 37.45±13.70 years and 54.5% of the participants were female. Among the participants 59.1% had heard of the concept of traditional and complementary medicine before, and 62.8% of those who heard applied to any method. It was determined that 46.5% of the applicants had the cupping method done, 49.3% applied because it was natural, 49.3% had these methods done at home, and 71.8% benefited. The total mean score of the participants from the scale was found to be 98.87±19.45. It was observed that the total score of the participants who had any health problems from the scale and the median score of the dissatisfaction with modern medicine sub-dimension were significantly higher (p<0,05). Conclusion: It was determined that more than half of the participants who heard the concept of traditional and complementary medicine applied to at least one of these methods, nearly half of the applicants had it done at home, and the most common application was because it was natural. The total score of the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Attitude Scale was found to be higher in the participants who had any health problems. Accordingly, individuals with health problems exhibit a more positive attitude towards traditional and complementary medicine methods.
