Objective: The aim of this study was to compare between the four different swimming style times of 50 meters (m) according to the Functional Movement Screen (FMSTM) scores of 11-12 aged swimmers. Material and Methods: 14 girls (weight 40.06±6.81 kg; height 150.79±7.27 cm; body mass index (BMI) 17.56±2.35 kg/m2) and 12 boys (weight 40.98±5.69 kg; height 147.42±6.46 cm; BMI 18.85±2.37 kg/m2) voluntarily participated. 50 m swimming time in four different styles, the National Development Project Group Championships held in Istanbul, is taken from the official time recorded. FMSTM was performed by a certified specialist. After this assessment, swimmers were divided into two groups as 14 points (n=13) and above (n=13) according to FMSTM total scores. 50 m swimming time and FMSTM scores obtained were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 program. Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare the swimming time and FMSTM scores between the groups and genders of the two groups. Significance level was taken as p0.05). Conclusion: It was seen that the FMSTM score which should have a total of 21 points, were below the 14 points accepted as the critical threshold. This means that swimmers were insufficient for stability, mobility and motor control features, and it has been found that there are statistically significant differences compared to swimming times.
