Amaç: Bu çalışma, fonksiyonel egzersiz bandı [total resistance exercises (TRX)] antrenmanları ile geleneksel kuvvet antrenmanlarının (GKA) bazı kuvvet değişkenleri üzerine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmaya 30 sağlıklı sedanter erkek (yaş ortalaması 15,8±0,7 yıl, vücut ağırlığı ortalaması 62,7±11,9 kg, boy uzunluğu ortalaması 171,4±6,7 cm) gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan bireyler rastgele yöntemle TRX (n=15) ve GKA (n=15) antrenman grubu olmak üzere 2'ye ayrılmıştır. Sekiz hafta, haftada 3 gün, 30-60 dk arası değişen antrenman programları öncesi ve sonrasında tüm katılımcıların boy uzunluğu, vücut ağırlığı, statik kuvvet (kavrama-sırt-bacak kuvveti), dinamik kuvvet (1TM bench press, 1TM squat) ve kassal dayanıklılık (30 sn mekik, 30 sn şınav) test ölçümleri alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 24.0 istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Gruplar içerisinde antrenman öncesi ve antrenman sonrası ölçümler için normal dağılım gösterenlerde bağımlı örneklem (eşleştirilmiş) t-testi, normal dağılım göstermeyenlerde Wilcoxon testi kullanılmıştır. Gruplar arasındaki farklılığı belirlemek için ise normal dağılım gösterenlerde bağımsız örneklem t-testi, normal dağılıma uymayanlarda Mann-Whitney U testi ile yapılmıştır. Verilerin ortalama ve standart sapmaları verilmiş ve araştırmada anlamlılık düzeyi 0,05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan deneklerin (TRX ve GKA) tüm kuvvet parametrelerinde son-test değerlerinin ön-test değerlerine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde arttığı tespit edilmiştir (p<0,05). Gruplar arası karşılaştırmada ise sadece 30 sn mekik sayısı değerlerinde TRX grubunun lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Sonuç: Sekiz hafta uygulanan TRX ve GKA programlarının statik-dinamik kuvvet ve kassal dayanıklılık üzerine benzer etkilere sahip olduğu ve TRX antrenmanlarının sedanter bireyler için alternatif bir antrenman yöntemi olabileceği söylenebilir.

Objective: This study was conducted to examine the effects of functional exercise band (TRX) training and traditional strength training (TST) on some strength variables. Material and Methods: 30 healthy sedentary men (mean age 15.8±0.7 years, mean body weight 62.7±11.9 kg, mean height 171.4±6.7 cm) voluntarily participated in the study. Individuals participating in the study were randomly divided into two: TRX (n=15) and TST (n=15) training groups. Height, body weight, static strength (gripback-leg strength), dynamic strength (1TM bench press, 1TM squat) and muscular endurance (30 kg) of all participants before and after training programs ranging from 30-60 minutes, 3 days a week for 8 weeks (second sit-up, 30- second push-up) test measurements were taken. SPSS 24.0 statistical package program was used to evaluate the data obtained within the scope of the research. For pre-training and post-training measurements within the groups, dependent sample (paired) t-test was used for those with normal distribution, and Wilcoxon test for those without normal distribution. To determine the difference between groups, independent samples t-test was used for those with normal distribution, and Mann-Whitney U test was used for those without normal distribution. The mean and standard deviation of the data are given and the significance level in the research is accepted as 0.05. Results: It was determined that the post-test values in all strength parameters of the subjects participating in the study (TRX and TST) increased statistically significantly compared to the pre-test values (p<0.05). In the comparison between groups, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in favor of the TRX group only in the 30-second sit-up count values (p<0.05). Conclusion: It can be said that TRX and TST programs applied for 8 weeks have similar effects on static-dynamic strength and muscular endurance and TRX training can be an alternative training method for sedentary individuals.
