Objective: To examine peripapillary and subfoveal choroidal vascular parameters in pseudotumor cerebri (PTC) cases and to investigate whether there is a relationship between Humphrey visual field analyzer (HVFA) data and choroidal parameters. Material and Methods: Thirteen eyes with a mean follow-up of 20.69±33.85 months with a diagnosis of PTS and 14 healthy eyes for the control group (CG) were included in the study. Enhanced high definition line images and visual field (VF) tests were obtained during routine visits of the patients under medical treatment. Peripapillary and macular enhanced HD line images of the cases were processed in ImageJ software and total choroidal area (TCA), stromal area (SA), luminal area (LA) and choroidal vascular index (CVI) data were obtained. HVFA test was applied and mean deviation (MD), pattern standard deviation (PSD), visual field loss patterns were recorded. Results: The parameters of LA, TKA, and CVI in the nasal peripapillary area decreased significantly in the PTS group compared to CG (p=0.00, p=0.002 and p=0.013, respectively). TKA from the temporal peripapillary measurements decreased significantly in the PTS group (p=0.011). LA from the subfoveal choroidal parameters decreased significantly in the PTS group (p=0.018). In the correlation analysis, a moderate negative correlation was found between MD and peripapillary nasal and temporal CVI (r=-0.511 p=0.037 and r=-0.500 p=0.041, respectively). A moderate negative correlation was found between PSD and subfoveal CVI (r=-0.619 p=0.012). Conclusion: Peripapillary and subfoveal choroidal vascular parameters may decrease over time in PTS patients. Additionally, correlation was observed between HGAA data and choroidal vascular parameters. Choroidal parameters may be useful in predicting visual field data in PTS patients.
