Objective: In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of time-restricted feeding on anthropometric measurements and biochemical parameters in obese women. Material and Methods: This study was carried out with female individuals who voluntarily accepted to participate in the study among the patients who applied to the Başkent University Ankara Hospital Endocrine Polyclinic between September 2019 and October 2020. Female individuals between the ages of 20 and 50, with a body mass index of 29-35 kg/m2, without any chronic disease, who did not have a weight loss diet in the last 6 months, and who had regular night sleep were included in the study. Two different dietary interventions, namely 'time-restricted feeding' and 'freetime feeding', were applied to 2 groups, Group 1 and Group 2, for a total of 4 weeks. Anthropometric measurements and biochemical parameters of individuals were evaluated at the beginning and end of the study. Results: The mean age of the individuals in the study was 38.58±7.03 years. The reductions in body weight, body mass index, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist/height ratio, biceps and triceps thickness, body fat mass, body muscle mass and body water mass averages of individuals on time-restricted feeding and free-time feeding were found statistically found significant (p<0.05). When the mean changes of fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, triglyceride, alanine transaminase, thyroid-stimulating hormone, fasting insulin and homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance values according to the diet were examined, it was observed that there was no statistical difference between time-restricted feeding and free-time feding (p<0.05). Conclusion: While time-restricted nutrition has a significant effect on body weight loss and body composition, although changes were observed on biochemical parameters, it was determined that the effect was not significant.
