Amaç: Bu çalışma, infertilite tedavisi alan kadınların diyet inflamatuar indeksi (Dİİ) ile bireylerin beslenme durumları, antropometrik ölçümleri ve embriyo kalitesiyle ilişkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya Mayıs ve Haziran 2019 tarihleri arasında Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Cebeci Hastanesine infertilite tedavisi için başvuran 25-35 yaş aralığında, kesin infertilite tanısı almış ve kronik hastalığı olmayan 69 kadın birey dâhil edilmiştir. Bireylerin vücut ağırlığı (kg) ve boy uzunluğu (cm) ölçümleri alınmış, bireylerin infertilite tedavilerine ilişkin bilgiler ise hasta dosyalarından alınmıştır. Bireylerden 3 günlük besin tüketim kaydı alınarak günlük besin tüketim ortalamalarına göre Dİİ hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular: Bu çalışmaya katılan bireylerin Dİİ'leri 3 gruba yani tertillere ayrılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Buna göre Dİİ ≤0,632 1. tertili, Dİİ 0,633-2,293 aralığı 2. tertili ve Dİİ ≥2,294 3. tertili oluşturmaktadır. Buradaki 1. tertil antiinflamatuar (inflamasyonu azaltıcı) diyeti, 3. tertil ise proinflamatuar (inflamasyon yükseltici) diyeti ifade etmektedir. Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin Dİİ aralığı -1,91 ile 5,04 değerleri arasında bulunmuştur. Bireylerin makro besin ögesi alımı ile toplanan yumurta sayısı ve oluşan embriyo sayısı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır (p>0,05). Diyetin proinflamatuar özelliği arttıkça (Dİİ skorları arttıkça) bireylerden toplanan yumurta sayısının, oluşan embriyo sayısının ve embriyo kalitesinin azaldığı bulunmuş, ancak istatistiksel açıdan önemli bulunmamıştır (p>0,05). Bireylerin Dİİ tertilleri ile gebelik sonucu arasında önemli bir ilişki bulunmamıştır (p>0,05). Sonuç: Diyetin inflamatuar yükünü azaltacak şekilde beslenmenin kadınlarda üreme fonksiyonlarını iyileştirebileceği ve gebelik şansını artırabileceği düşünülmektedir.

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between dietary inflammatory index (DII) determined from the nutritional status of women treated for infertility, and the relationship between embryo quality and pregnancy outcome. Material and Methods: The study included 69 female individuals aged 25-35 years, who were diagnosed with infertility between May and June 2019, who applied to at a university hospital in Ankara for infertility treatment, and who didn't have chronic disease. Anthropometric measurements were body weight (kg) and height (cm). Information about the infertility treatments of the individuals was taken from the patient files. The consumption averages of the daily food items were calculated from the three-day food consumption record taken from the individuals. DII were calculated based on the daily nutrient consumption averages. Results: DII scores of individuals were divided into three tertiles; DII scores ≤0,632 1. tertile, DII 0.633-2.293 2. tertile ve DII ≥2.294 3. tertile. The first tertile predicate an anti-inflammatory diet, and the third tertile predicate a pro-inflammatory diet. The DII range of the individuals participating was found between-1.91 and 5.04. There was no significant correlation between macro-nutrient intake of individuals' and number of oocytes retrieved and number of embryos that developed. A negative correlation was found between the percentage of saturated fatty acid and the number of embryos formed, and it was found statistically significant (p0.05). There was no significant difference between DII groups and pregnancy outcome (p>0.05). Conclusion: Infertile women consuming healthy diet to decrease in inflammatory potential of diet, and it can improve reproductive functions and increase the chance of pregnancy in women.
