Telerehabilitation is an important practice performed by rehabilitation professionals within the scope of tele-health services. Telerehabilitation is a service model that provides rehabilitation services using technology in order to increase the options of clients access to health services, to provide more efficient services and to overcome geographical barriers in accessing health services. Although popular, there is contradictory evidence for its effectiveness. Tele-rehabilitation is a appropriate model for occupational therapy services, helping clients to improve their skills; proposing assistive technology and adaptive approaches; modifying working, home or school environments; used to create health-improving habits and routines. There are positive attitudes towards the use of tele-rehabilitation for clients and caregivers. When the literature on the use of tele-rehabilitation in occupational therapy is examined, it is seen that it has similar clinical results with face to face rehabilitation services in various age groups in various pathologies and disorders. In this review, it is aimed to provide information about current tele-rehabilitation studies in occupational therapy and the effectiveness of these practices, and to discuss the feasibility of tele-rehabilitation for future needs. It is thought that this review will shed light on the discussions on the effectiveness of the systems, frequency of use, factors affecting usage, and more feasible methods in the future, in the world and our country, which are constantly developing and changing.
