Objective: This study aims to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish form of the ''Sports Talent Development Environment Questionnaire for Parents''. Material and Methods: The questionnaire is 7-point Likert type, 28 items, and consists of five subscales (long-term development, holistic quality preparation, support network, communication, alignment of expectations). The population of the study consisted of the parents of children aged 12-18 years who actively participate in youth sport leagues of Marmara Region. A total of 223 parents (Mage=42.78±4.61), including 139 mothers (Mage=41.26±4.23) and 84 fathers (Mage=42.65±5.08) voluntarily participated in the study. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was performed for the factor structure of the questionnaire; average variance explained (AVE), composite reliability (CR), maximum shared squared variance (MSV) and average shared square variance (ASV) values were calculated for convergent and divergent validity. Cronbach alpha and CR coefficients were calculated to test the reliability of the questionnaire. Results: The obtained fit indices showed that the model fit was good (x2 /df=1.83; Comparative fit index=0.90; incremental fit index=0.90; Root mean square error of approximation=0.06; Standardized root mean square residual=0.07) with three modifications. The calculated MSV, ASV, AVE values support the convergent and divergent validity of the questionnaire. Cronbach's alpha coefficients were ranged between 0.72 (holistic quality preparation) to 0.85 (long-term development). CR coefficients were ranged between 0.75 (holistic quality preparation) and 0.86 (long-term development). Conclusion: The findings obtained reveal that the ''Sports Talent Development Environment Questionnaire for Parents'' ensure the validity and reliability conditions for evaluation of the quality of athletes' talent development environments from parents' perspective.
