Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, boulder tırmanıcıların antropometrik, kuvvet ve esneklik özellikleri arasındaki farklılıkların tespiti ve bu farklılıkların yarışma performansına olan etkilerini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmaya, 2. Bölge boulder şampiyonasına katılan 21 kız ve 16 erkek olmak üzere toplam 37 tırmanıcı katılmıştır. Örneklem grubunu oluşturan tırmanıcılara ait veriler (antropometrik ölçümler, el kavrama ve parmak kuvveti, omuz esnekliği, bacak açıklığı, dur ve uzan testi) sahada yapılan testler ile toplandı. Tırmanıcıların yarışma performansları Türkiye Dağcılık Federasyonunun, boulder yarışma sonucunda elde ettikleri puanlara göre belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada t-testi, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizlerinden aşamalı (stepwise) regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırma sonuçlarına göre dereceye giren ve girmeyen boulder tırmanıcıların boy, vücut ağırlığı, bacak kuvveti, sağ el ve sol el kavrama kuvveti, dur ve uzan esnekliği ve bacak açıklığı değerleri arasında anlamlı farklılığa rastlanmıştır (p<0,05). Boulder tırmanıcıların yarışma performans puanı ile bacak kuvveti, sağ el ve sol el parmak kuvveti, sağ el ve sol el kavrama kuvveti arasında pozitif yönde orta seviyede, dur uzan esnekliği ve bacak açıklığı arasında ise pozitif yönde düşük seviyede ilişki belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Dereceye giren (finale yükselen) boulder tırmanıcıların dereceye girmeyenlere göre kısa boyda oldukları, düşük vücut ağırlığı ve beden kitle indeksine sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Dereceye giren boulder tırmanıcıların sağ el, sol el kavrama kuvveti, bacak kuvveti, dur ve uzan ve bacak açıklığı esneklikleri değerleri dereceye giremeyenlerden daha yüksektir. Tırmanıcıların el kavrama, el parmak, bacak kuvveti, esneklik (dur ve uzan) ve bacak açıklığı esneklik değerleri arttıkça tırmanış performansları da artmıştır. El kavrama kuvveti, bacak kuvveti, dur ve uzan ve bacak açıklığı esnekliklerinin önemli bir yordayıcı olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the differences between the anthropometric, strength and flexibility characteristics of boulder competitors and to examine the effects of these differences on the performance of the competition. Material and Methods: A total of 37 climbers, 21 girls and 16 boys, participated in the regional boulder championship. The data of the study were collected from the anthropometric measurements of height and body weight; from the physical measurements, right-left hand grip, right-left finger strength and shoulder, leg opening, stop and extension flexibility measurements were collected. The competition performances of the climbers were determined according to the scores obtained by the Turkish Mountaineering Federation because of the boulder competition. In the study, stepwise regression analysis was used from t-test, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: According to the results of the study, a significant difference was found between the height, body weight, leg strength, right hand, and left-hand grip strength, stop and reach flexibility and leg opening values of boulder athletes who entered and did not enter the rank (p<0.05). A moderate relationship was found between the competition performance score of boulder climbers and leg strength, right hand and left-hand finger strength, right hand and left-hand grip strength, and a low level of relationship was found between stop extension flexibility and leg opening. Conclusion: It was etermined that the boulder climbers who entered the final (rising to the final) were smaller than those who did not and had low body weight and body mass index. The right-hand, left-hand grip strength, leg strength, stop and reach and leg opening flexibility values of boulder climbers are higher than those who cannot. As the hand grip, hand finger, leg strength, flexibility (stop and reach) and leg open flexibility values of the climbers increased, their climbing performance also increased. Hand grip strength, leg strength, stop and reach and leg opening flexibility were determined to be important predictors.
