Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı gargaraların rezin bazlı bilgisayar destekli tasarım ve bilgisayar destekli üretim [computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM)] bloklarının renk stabilitesine etkisini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmada, rezin bazlı CAD/CAM bloklardan (Vita Enamic, Brilliant Crios, Grandio Blocs) 1,5×7×12 mm boyutlarında örnekler hazırlandı. CAD/CAM örneklerin zamana bağlı renk değişimini simüle etmek için her gün 1 dk süreyle farklı gargaralarda (Listerine Cool Mint, Listerine Zero, Colgate Plax, Sensodyne) bekletilip, tekrar yapay tükürük içerisine konuldu.

Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of different mouthwashes on the color stability of resin computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) blocks. Material and Methods: In the study, samples of 1.5×7×12 mm were prepared from resin-based CAD/CAM blocks (Vita Enamic, Brilliant Crios, Grandio Blocs). In order to simulate the time-dependent color change of the CAD/CAM samples, they were kept in mouthwash (Listerine Cool Mint, Listerine Zero, Colgate Plax, Sensodyne) for one minute each day and put back into artificial saliva. Color changes of the samples were measured with a spectrophotometer device on 7th, 14th and 30th days. Statistical analysis of the values of color change (ΔE00) was performed using one-way variance analysis and Tukey analysis. Results: Color changes of CAD/CAM blocks did not show statistically significant difference compared to the control group (p>0.05). Alcoholic (Listerine Cool Mint) and non-alcoholic (Listerine Zero, Colgate Plax and Sensodyne) mouthwashes were found to be below the perceptibility threshold (PT) value (ΔE00: 0.8), while the color change on Vita Enamic and Brilliant Crios from the blocks at the end of 30 days was above the PT value in the Grandio Blocs. Chlorhexidine-containing mouthwash (Kloroben) showed the most color change in all blocks (Vita Enamic ΔE00: 0.81, Brilliant Crios ΔE00: 0.84 and Grandio Blocs ΔE00: 1.05) at the end of 30 days. The color change of the mouthwashes on the resin-based CAD/CAM blocks did not exceed the acceptability threshold value (ΔE00≤1.8). Conclusion: The duration of use and contents of the mouthwash used by individuals with resin-based CAD/CAM restorations are important for the color stability of the restorations.
