Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, kalsiyum silikat içerikli yeni bir kök kanal patı olan NeoSealer Flo'nun farklı zamanlardaki pH değerlerini 2 farklı kök kanal patıyla in vitro şartlarda karşılaştırarak değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Karıştırılan kanal patları (AH Plus, Sure-Seal Root ve NeoSealer Flo), her grupta 10 adet olacak şekilde, cam kapiller tüplere doldurulup, içinde 10 mL serum fizyolojik solüsyonu (pH=7) bulunan kapaklı şişelere yerleştirildi. Ölçüm dışındaki dönemlerde 37 C'de ̊ inkübatörde bırakıldı. Kontrol grubundaki 10 kapiller tüpün doldurulmadan boş bırakılması dışında, deney gruplarıyla benzer işlemler uygulandı. Kanal patlarının karıştırılmasından sonra 1, 2, 3, 24, 48, 72. saatlerde ve 1. haftadaki pH değerleri pH-metre ile ölçüldü ve kaydedildi. Bulgular: Sure-Seal Root'un en yüksek pH değerlerine sahip olduğu belirlenirken, AH Plus en düşük pH değerlerini gösterdi (p<0,05). Sure-Seal Root'un pH değeri tüm zaman dilimlerinde NeoSealer Flo'dan daha yüksekti fakat istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildi (p>0,05). Sure-Seal Root'un pH değeri tüm zaman dilimlerinde AH Plus'tan önemli derecede yüksekti (p<0,05). NeoSealer Flo'nun zaman dilimlerine göre pH değerleri sırasıyla, 11,95; 11,80; 11,76; 12,03; 12,23; 11,78; 11,22 olarak saptandı. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada değerlendirilen 3 kanal patınında sudaki salımlarının alkali nitelikte olduğu bulundu. Yeni kök kanal patı NeoSealer Flo'nun değerlendirilen tüm zaman dilimlerinde alkali pH'ye sahip olması nedeniyle endodontik tedavide kullanılması tavsiye edilmektedir.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the pH values of NeoSealer Flo, a new root canal sealer containing calcium silicate, at different times by comparing it with two different root canal sealers under in vitro conditions. Material and Methods: The mixed canal sealers (AH Plus, Sure-Seal Root and NeoSealer Flo), 10 in each group, were filled into glass capillary tubules and placed in capped bottles containing 10 mL physiological saline solution (pH=7). After mixing the sealer, pH values at the 1, 2, 3, 24, 48, 72nd hours and 1st week were measured and recorded with a pH-meter. Results: Sure-Seal Root was determined to have the highest pH values, while AH Plus exhibited the lowest pH values (p<0.05). The pH value of Sure-Seal Root was found to be higher than NeoSealer Flo at all time periods, but the difference not significant (p>0.05). The pH value of Sure-Seal Root was significantly higher than AH Plus at all time periods (p<0.05). The pH values of NeoSealer Flo according to time periods were determined as 11.95, 11.80, 11.76, 12.03, 12.23, 11.78, 11.22, respectively. Conclusion: It was found that there lease into water of all three canal sealers evaluated in this study was alkaline. The new root canal sealer NeoSealer Flo is recommended for use in endodontic treatment due to its alkaline pH at all time periods evaluated.
