ÖZET
 Bu çalışmada, yeni bir bilimsel metrik olarak Uyarlanmış Dergi Çeşitlilik İndeksi'nin tanıtılması ve kullanılabilirliğinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmacıların nicel ve nitel değerlendirmesi için çeşitli bilimsel metrikler mevcuttur. Bu metriklerin her birinin güçlü yanları ve sınırlamaları vardır, daha doğru olanı arayış hâlen devam etmektedir. Çalışmada, Simpson (1949) tarafından biyolojik çeşitlilik için önerilen indeks, dergi çeşitlilik indeksi olarak uyarlanmıştır. Dergi Çeşitlilik İndeksi'nin hesaplanması, örnek bir uygulama ile gösterilmiştir. Örnek için kullanılan veriler tamamen rastgele türetilmiş verilerdir. Bilimsel araştırmaların yayımlanması, bilginin yayılmasının temel taşı olmasının yanı sıra akademik ve bilimsel değerlendirme ve kariyer gelişimi için de temel bir kriterdir. Dünyanın dört bir yanındaki birçok akademik toplulukta, bilim insanlarının bireysel katkılarının kalitesinin değerlendirilmesinde güvenilir bilimsel metriklerin kullanılması önemli kabul edilir. Yazar düzeyindeki etkinin kapsamlı bir şekilde değerlendirilmesi için tek başına hiçbir metrik uygun değildir. Belirli metriklerin seçimi, değerlendirmenin amacına ve içeriğine bağlıdır. Bir araştırmacının yayımladığı çalışmalarını gerek kendi içinde gerekse araştırmacılar tarafından yapılan çalışmalar arasındaki çeşitliliğini ölçmek için hangi indeksin kullanılacağına dair pratik bir kural söz konusu değildir. Bu çalışmada önerilen Uyarlanmış Simpson İndeksi, diğer çeşitlilik indekslerine (Shannon-Weiner İndeksi, Evenness İndeksi vb.) kıyasla kullanımı en kolay olanıdır. Uyarlanmış Dergi Çeşitlilik İndeksi'nden elde edilen değerler, pay veya payda terimini hesaplamak için dergi sayısı yerine aynı dergide yayımlanan makale sayısı kullanıldığından dergi sayısına duyarlı değildir. Dergi çeşitlilik indekslerinin kullanılması, bir araştırmacının araştırma sonuçlarının etkinliğinin farklı editörler, hakemler ve okuyucular tarafından değerlendirilmesine yardımcı olur. Dolayısıyla dergi çeşitliliğine ilişkin bir metrik elde etmek önemlidir.

ABSTRACT
 In this study, it is aimed to introduce the Adapted Journal Diversity Index as a new scientometric and to investigate its usability. Various scientometric metrics are available for the quantitative and qualitative assessment of researchers. Each of these metrics has its strengths and limitations, and the search for a more accurate one is still ongoing. In the study, the index proposed by Simpson (1949) for biodiversity was adapted as a journal diversity index. The calculation of the Journal Diversity Index is illustrated with a sample application. The data used for the example are completely randomly derived data. The publication of scientific research is the cornerstone of the dissemination of knowledge, as well as a fundamental criterion for academic and scientific evaluation and career advancement. In many academic communities around the world, the use of reliable scientific metrics is considered important in assessing the quality of individual scientists' contributions. No single metric is appropriate for a comprehensive assessment of author-level impact. The choice of specific metrics depends on the purpose and content of the assessment. There is no practical rule about which index to use to measure the diversity of a researcher's published work, both within itself and among the studies done by the researchers. The adapted Simpson Index proposed in this study is the easiest to use compared to other diversity indices (Shannon-Weiner Index, Evenness Index etc.). The values obtained from the adapted Simpson Index are not sensitive to the number of journals, as the number of articles published in the same journal is used instead of the journal number to calculate the numerator or denominator. The use of journal diversity indexes helps a researcher to evaluate the effectiveness of research results by different editors, reviewers and readers. Therefore, it is important to obtain a metric for journal diversity.

4.1. "Turkiye Klinikleri" is completely free to determine which of the services and contents provided in the "SITE" will be charged.

4.2. People benefiting from the services provided by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and using the website can use the "SITE" only according to the law and only for personal reasons. Users have the criminal and civil liability for every process and action they take in the "SITE". Every USER agrees, declares and undertakes that they will not proceed by any function or action infringement of rights of "Turkiye Klinikleri"s and/or other third parties', they are the exclusive right holder on usage, processing, storage, made public and revealing any written, visual or auditory information reported to Turkiye Klinikleri" and/or "SITE" to the third parties. 8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
