Radiation retinopathy is characterized by late-onset occlusive retinal microangiopathy that develops after exposure to therapeutic radiotherapy of ocular, orbital, facial, nasopharyngeal, and cranial structures. Macular edema, optic neuropathy, and neovascularization are common radiation retinopathy complications and laser therapy and intravitreal injections are frequently used in treatment. In the left eye of the patient who applied to our clinic with a complaint of vision loss in the left eye for two months Intense vitreous hemorrhage supported by USG findings, in the right eye retinal hemorrhages, microangiopathic changes and macular edema were detected. Radiation retinopathy was diagnosed by evaluating the current clinical findings and systemic history of our patient. Intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatment was applied to the right eye for cystoid macular edema and vitreoretinal surgery was applied to the left eye for vitreous hemorrhage. The aim of this article is to present the case of radiation retinopathy, which is performed less frequently in radiation retinopathy control and where vitreoretinal surgery is required.
