ÖZET
 Amaç: Bu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleği imajını belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikte ki araştırma, 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında Türkiye'nin doğusunda bir devlet üniversitesi'nin merkez kampüsü içinde bulunan fakülte ve yüksekokullara kayıtlı 447 lisans öğrencisi ile yürütüldü. Araştırmada örneklem seçimine gidilmezken, verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu' ve 'HİÖ (Hemşirelik İmajı Ölçeği)' kullanıldı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler; sayımla belirlenen değişkenler için sayı ve yüzde, ölçümle belirlenen değişkenler için ortalama ± standart sapma şeklinde gösterildi. Bağımsız gruplarda t testi, varyans analizi (ANOVA), Kruskal Wallis testi, Mann Whitney-U testi, LSD Post Hoc testi ve Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. İstatistiksel anlamlılık düzeyi 0.05 olarak kabul edildi. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan bireylerin yaş ortalamasının 21,98±2.35 olduğu, %53,5'inin erkek ve %61,5'inin ailesinde veya yakın çevresinde hemşire olduğu saptandı. Bireylerin HİÖ 'genel görünüm' alt boyutu puan ortalaması 10,13±2,01, 'iletişim' alt boyutu puan ortalaması 10,70±3,27, 'mesleksel ve eğitimsel nitelikler' alt boyut puan ortalaması 24,43±5,72 ve HİÖ toplam puan ortalaması 45,28±8,79 olarak bulundu. HİÖ toplam puan ortalaması ile cinsiyet, gelir durumu, geldiği coğrafi bölge, en uzun yaşanılan yer, aile veya yakın çevresinde hemşire ve erkek hemşire varlığı, daha önce hemşireden hizmet alma durumu, hemşire olmayı isteme durumu, hemşirelik mesleğinin hangi cinsiyete özgü olduğu düşüncesi arasında istatistiksel olarak önemli fark olduğu saptandı (p<0,05). Sonuç: Çalışmaya katılan bireylerdeki hemşirelik imajının orta düzeyde olumlu olduğu, gelir durumu düşük ve erkek bireylerde hemşirelik imajının daha yüksek düzeyde olumlu olduğu saptandı.

ABSTRACT
 Objective: This study was conducted to determine the image of the nursing profession of university students. Material and Methods: This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 447 undergraduate students enrolled in a faculty and vocational school of a state university in the eastern part of Turkey. No sample selection was made in the study. 'Personal Information Form' and 'Scale for the Image of Nursing (SIN)' created by the researchers were used to collect the data. In the evaluation of data; descriptive statistics, the number and percentage for variables determined by count are shown as mean ± standard deviation for variables determined by measurement. In independent groups, t test, variance analysis (ANOVA), Kruskal Wallis test, Mann Whitney-U test, LSD Post Hoc test and Pearson correlation analysis were utilized. Statistical significance level was accepted as 0,05. Results: It was determined that the average age of the individuals participating in the study was 21,98±2,35, and that 53.5% of the participants were male and that 61,5% had nurses in their family or its immediate neighborhood. The Scale for the Image of Nursing of the Individuals, 'general view' sub-dimension mean score was found as 10,13±2,01, the 'communication' sub-dimension mean score as 10,70±3,27, 'professional and educational qualifications' sub-dimension score as 24,43±5,72, and the total mean score as 45,28±8,79. There was a statistically significant difference between the Scale for Image ofNursing Image Scale total score average and gender, income status, geographic region where they came from, the longest place of residence, the existence of nurses and male nurses in the family or its immediate neighborhood, the status of getting service from the nurse before, the status of demanding to be a nurse, and the idea of which specific gender is nursing profession is related to (p<0.05). Conclusion: It is found that the image of nursing was moderately positive in individuals who participated in the study, and that it was higher in the males and in the ones who have a low income status.

4. GENERAL PROVISIONS

4.1. "Turkiye Klinikleri" is completely free to determine which of the services and contents provided in the "SITE" will be charged.

4.2. People benefiting from the services provided by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and using the website can use the "SITE" only according to the law and only for personal reasons. Users have the criminal and civil liability for every process and action they take in the "SITE". "Force majeure" term will be regarded as outside of the concerned party's reasonable control and any situation that "Turkiye Klinikleri" cannot prevent even though it shows due diligence. Also, force majeure situations include but not limited to natural disasters, rebellion, war, strike, communication problems, infrastructure and internet failure, power cut and bad weather conditions.

8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
