Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the content of YoutubeTM videos related to Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD)s. Material and Methods: A video search was conducted on the YoutubeTM platform using the search phrase 'çene eklemi' determined from the Google Trends application. After the videos were ranked by relevance in the playlist, the first 100 videos were viewed, and 90 videos were selected to be analyzed. The videos were classified according to their source categories and their information content was analyzed. Video demographics were recorded, interaction index and viewing rates were also calculated. Kruskal-Wallis H test, Chisquare test, Fisher exact test were performed, and Spearman correlation coefficient was calculated for statistical analysis. Statistical significance level was accepted as p0.05). No statistically significant difference was found between source category and video contents (p>0.05). According to the parameters, the information content of all videos was incomplete and insufficient. Details of the TMD etiology were insufficient, and parafunctional activity and emotional stress were the most common etiological factors. The most mentioned subject in the videos was determined as 'pain' (49/90). Among the treatment options, surgical treatment (40/90) and night guard (37/90) were the most frequently mentioned, while contents describing mentions prevention (14/90) were found to be relatively few. Conclusion: The content of Turkish YoutubeTM videos for TMD definition-etiology-treatment was generally incomplete. Future research should focus on ways to popularize reliable and professional videos for those looking for 'çene eklemi' information on YoutubeTM. Healthcare professionals must be aware of online platforms and direct their patients to the right resources.
