There are two types of Eagle syndrome, classical and stylocarotid syndrome. The classical type is widely known. Stylocarotid syndrome is related to carotid vessels. Both types may be particularly confused with temporomandibular disorders, or their results may affect dental examination and treatment planning or stages. The purpose of this case report is to draw attention to this type of Eagle syndrome based on this case diagnosed and treated with stylocarotid syndrome. A female patient with partial edentulous areas in the maxilla applied to the clinic with the demand for a new denture for esthetic and functional problems. She explained to be operated because of a perforation in both carotid arteries in her history. Styloid processes with normal length and stents placed bilaterally in both carotid arteries were viewed from the panoramic film. Her prosthetic treatment was performed in conventional methods. Styloid processes can lead to perforation in the carotid arteries and become life-threatening without giving specific symptoms. Stylocarotid syndrome, which can present with unusual and different symptoms, should also be taken into consideration during dental examination and procedures.
