Amaç: Sağlıklı kadınlarda menstrüel siklusun farklı fazları boyunca gövde kas enduransı, esneklik ve uyku problemini incelenmekti. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Sağlıklı 23 kadın (yaş: 23,26±4,51 yıl, beden kitle indeksi (BKİ): 20,84±2,46 kg/m2 ) birey çalışmaya dâhil edildi. Ağrı şiddeti vizüel analog skala (VAS) ile fiziksel aktivite düzeyleri Uluslararası Fiziksel Aktivite Anketi-7 ile gövde kas enduransları McGill'in gövde kas endurans testleri ile esneklikleri otur-uzan testi ile uyku problemleri ise VAS ile menstrüel siklusun farklı fazlarında değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Gövde fleksör kas enduransı, menstrüasyonda foliküler (p=0,003) ve luteal fazın ortasına (p=0,023) göre daha az olduğu, gövde sağ lateral fleksör kas enduransı menstrüasyonda foliküler (p=0,033) ve luteal fazın ortasına (p=0,004) göre daha az iken gövde sol lateral fleksör kas enduransının ise menstrüasyonda luteal fazın ortasına göre daha az olduğu bulundu (p=0,011). Esnekliğin menstrüasyonda foliküler fazın ortasına göre daha az olduğu görüldü (p=0,015). Siklusun fazları boyunca uyku problemleri ve gövde ekstansör kas enduransı ile ilgili herhangi bir değişiklik saptanmadı (p>0,05). Sonuç: Sağlıklı kadınlarda menstrüasyonda foliküler ve luteal faza göre gövde kas enduransının değiştiği ve esnekliklerinin daha az olduğu görüldü. Siklus boyunca uyku problemleri benzerdi. Menstrüasyonda gövde kas enduransı ve esneklik azalmasının farkında olmak yaralanmaları önleyebilir.

bjective: To investigate trunk muscle endurance, flexibility and sleep problems across different phases of menstrual cycle in healthy women. Material and Methods: Twenty-three healthy women (age: 23.26±4.51 years, body mass index: 20.84±2.46 kg/m2 ) were included in the study. Pain intensity with Visual Analog Scale (VAS), physical activity levels with International Physical Activity Questionnaire-7, trunk muscle endurance with McGill's trunk muscle endurance tests, flexibility with sit and reach test, and sleep problems with VAS were assessed across the different phases of menstrual cycle. Results: It was found that trunk flexor muscle endurance was lower in the menstruation than the midfollicular (p=0.003) and the midluteal phase (p=0.023), the trunk right lateral flexor muscle endurance was lower in the menstruation than the midfollicular (p=0.033) and the midluteal phase (p=0.004); while, the trunk left lateral flexor muscle endurance was lower in the menstruation than the midluteal phase (p=0.011). It was seen that the flexibility was lower in the menstruation than the midfollicular phase (p=0.015). There were no changes related to the sleep problems and trunk muscle extensor endurance across the cycle phases (p>0.05). Conclusion: It was seen that trunk muscle endurance changed and flexibility were lower in the menstruation than the follicular and luteal phases in healthy women. The sleep problems were similar across the cycle. Being awareness of trunk muscle endurance and flexibility decrease during the menstruation can prevent injuries.
