Objective: This study was carried out to determine the relationship between the mobbing behaviors of staff working in the healthcare sector and their levels of motivation and sleep quality. Material and Methods: The study was carried out face-to-face with 103 healthcare professionals working in different positions at Edirne Provincial Directorate of Health between 10 January 2018-25 February 2018. In this context, the Leymann Inventory of Psychological Terror Scale, Work Motivation Scale, Insomnia Severity Index and demographic information form were used. In the analysis of the data, as a result of the Komogorov-Smirnov normality test, Mann-Whitney U test, Spearman correlation analysis and chi-square analysis were carried out. Results: 36.9% of the sample reported that they were mobbed and the rate of victimization of men was higher than that of women. No significant difference was found between the mobbing perception and the insomnia mean scores. However, among the healthcare professionals' insomnia and overall motivation, internal motivation and external motivation scores, a significant negative relationship was found. As the internal, external and overall motivation levels of the professionals decrease, insomnia levels increase. Conclusion: In addition to legal regulations regarding the prevention of mobbing, which has serious consequences at the personal, organizational and social levels, informing professionals about their rights, the establishment of separate units dealing with conflicts in the workplace about mobbing and taking protective measures to make them feel safe will also be important steps not only to protect their mental health, but also to increase work efficiency.
