Objective: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate and compare the efficacy of hydrogen peroxide using with LED curing light and diode laser irradiation by spectrophotometer and observe it's effects on enamel structure by scanning electron microscope. Material and Methods: In this study, 45 extracted human incisors ere used. The teeth were divided into 3 groups (n=15). Group 1 (control): Bleaching with hydrogen peroxide without any activation method. Group 2: Teeth were bleached with hydrogen peroxide using LED irradiation. Group 3: Teeth were bleached with hydrogen peroxide using diode laser irradiation. Three tooth from each group was selected for microscopic examination. The color of teeth were measured before and after bleaching by spectrophotometer and scanning electron microscopy images were taken and recorded. The obtained data were recorded for statistical analyses. Results: Although the highest color change was observed in diode laser group, no statisically significant differences was found between LED and diode laser group. The bleaching efficacy of diode laser group was found statisticaly higher than the control group. Enamel surface defects were observed only in the group of diode laser according to the results of this study. Conclusion: The diode laser application in bleaching treatments with hydrogen peroxide showed significant improvement in bleaching effectiveness. However, after bleaching with diode laser, morphological changes were observed in enamel surfaces.
