Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından literatür doğrultusunda hazırlanan 'Sosyodemografik ve Kadın Algısına İlişkin Soru Formu' ve 'Kadına İlişkin Namus Anlayışı Tutum Ölçeği' kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin Kadına İlişkin Namus Anlayışı Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları 88,84±17,64, Geleneksel Namus Anlayışı alt boyut puan ortalamaları 30,56±8,26, Eşitlikçi Yaklaşım alt boyut puan ortalamaları 45,52±6,91 ve Evlilik Öncesi Cinsellik/Namus Anlayışı alt boyut puan ortalamaları 12,76±5,56 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin Kadına İlişkin Namus Anlayışı Tutum Ölçeği puanı ortanca değerinin yaşadıkları yer, anne-babanın eğitim düzeyi, annenin çalışma durumu ve kadın algılarına ilişkin görüşlerine göre farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir (p<0,05). Sonuç: Sonuçlar, öğrencilerin 'genel ölçek', Geleneksel Namus Anlayışı ve Eşitlikçi Yaklaşım alt boyutlarında eşitlikçi tutuma sahip olduklarını, ancak 'evlilik öncesi cinsellik/namus anlayışı' alt boyutunda geleneksel tutum sergilediklerini göstermiştir. Öğrencilerin yaşadıkları yer, anne-baba eğitim düzeyi, annenin çalışma durumu, kardeş varlığı ve kadın algısına ilişkin görüşlerinin kadına ilişkin namus anlayışı tutumlarını etkileyen faktörler olduğu saptanmıştır.
