Amaç: Spor yapan bireyler, mükemmeliyetçi eğilimleri ve çeşitli sporlara fiziksel performans ve beden görünümüyle ilgili talepleri nedeniyle yeme bozuklukları görülme riski taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, spor yapan bireylerde yeme tutum davranışının saptanmasıdır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Sosyodemografik form ve Yeme Tutum Testi-26 (YTT-26) araştırmada kullanılan ölçeklerdir. Araştırma, İstanbul ilinde yaşayan ve spor yapan 18-35 yaş aralığındaki 301 bireyin yeme davranışlarını saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bireyler, YTT-26 puanına göre normal yeme davranısı̧ gösteriyor (0,05). Sonuç: Cinsiyete göre YTT-26 skor ortalamalarına bakıldığında, kadınlarda erkeklere kıyasla YTT-26 ortalaması anlamlı düzeyde yüksek bulunmuştur. BKİ değeri yüksek olan bireylerin, normal yeme davranışı gösterme eğiliminde olduğu ve tam tersine BKİ değeri azaldıkça bireylerde yeme davranış bozuklukları görülebileceği belirlenmiştir.

Individuals are classified as showing normal eating behavior according to EAT-26 score (0.05). Conclusion: When EAT26 score averages are analyzed by gender, the average of EAT-26 was found to be significantly higher in women compared to men. It has been determined that individuals with high BMI values tend to display normal eating behavior and on the contrary, individuals may have eating behavior disorders as BMI decreases.
