Katılımcıların %40,2'si hemşire/ebe/teknisyen, %21,8'i doktor ve %37,9'u diğer hastane personeliydi. İnfluenza aşı tercihleri incelendiğinde, katılımcıların %43,7'sinin her sene, %26,4'ünün bazı yıllar, %12,6'sının geçen yıl COVID-19 salgınının etkisiyle ve %17,2'sinin bu yıl ilk kez influenza aşısı yaptırdığı görüldü. Katılımcıların %32,2'si influenza aşısının COVID-19'a karşı koruyucu etkisi olacağını düşünürken, %19,5'i etkisinin olmayacağını düşünmekteydi.

ABSTRACT
Objective: Influenza and coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) have the potential to cause endemics and pandemics. These can be fatal for individuals in the high-risk category. To prevent such infections, vaccination is a highly effective measure. This study assessed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare workers' preference for influenza vaccination in a training and research hospital. Material and Methods: This descriptive study included healthcare workers who received influenza vaccination in a training and research hospital between October and November 2021. Responses to the survey questions asked about influenza and COVID-19 vaccine preferences of the participants and the demographic characteristics of the participants were recorded and analyzed. Results: The study analyzed data from 87 participants. Among them, 40.2% were nurses/midwives/technicians, 21.8% were doctors, and 37.9% were other hospital personnel. Upon analyzing their influenza vaccine preferences, it was discovered that 43.7% received it annually, 26.4% received it sporadically, 12.6% took it last year due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and 17.2% decided to get it for the first time this year. While 32.2% of the participants thought the influenza vaccine would protect against COVID-19, 19.5% felt it would not. Others had no idea. Views differ by living and work situations. Conclusion: As a result, upon examining the influenza vaccination habits of our hospital's healthcare workers, there has been an evident increase in demand for the vaccine due to the ongoing pandemic. The surge in demand for influenza vaccines is mainly attributed to the belief that the vaccine can protect against seasonal flu and COVID-19.
