Amaç: Bu araştırma, koronavirüs hastalığı-2019 [coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19)] hastalarına bakım veren hemşirelerin yaşam kalitesinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu araştırma verileri, 15 Mayıs 2021-15 Aralık 2021 tarihleri arasında Ankara'da Sağlık Bakanlığına bağlı bir hastanede yapıldı. Veriler, COVID-19 tedbirleri kapsamında online form kullanılarak toplandı. Bu tanımlayıcı (korelasyonel) ve analitik (kesitsel) tipteki araştırma, COVID-19 hastalarına bakım veren 284 hemşire ile gerçekleştirildi. Bu araştırmanın veri toplama aşamasında Hemşire Değerlendirme Formu ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Türkçe Ulusal Kısa Sürüm Form kullanıldı. Veriler istatistiksel bir paket programa aktarılarak incelendi. Ayrıca ölçek güvenilirlikleri için Cronbach2s alfa değeri kullanıldı. Sonuçlar %95'lik güven aralığında anlamlılık p<0,05 düzeyinde değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Bu araştırmada, hemşirelerin %68,7'si yoğun bakımda çalışmakta, %36,3'ü mesai saatinde 1-2 hastaya bakmakta, %58,8'i haftada 49 saat ve üzerinde çalışmaktadır. Ayrıca yaş, cinsiyet, çocuk sahibi olma durumu ve alkol kullanma durumu ile Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Türkçe Ulusal Kısa Sürüm Formu boyut puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olduğu görüldü (p<0,05). Sonuç: Bu araştırmanın sonucuna göre hemşirelerin yaşam kalitesi puan ortalamasının orta düzeyde olduğu ve ölçeğin genel sağlık durumu, fiziksel sağlık, psikolojik, sosyal ilişkiler ve çevre boyut puan ortalaması arasında pozitif yönde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlendi. Hemşirelerin yaşam kalitesini artırmak için çalışma şartları iyileştirilebilir.

Objective: This study was done to determine the quality of life of nurses providing care to coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID19) patients. Material and Methods: Data were collected in a hospital of the Turkish Ministry of Health in Ankara between the dates of 15.05.2021-15.12.2021. These data were collected using an online form in accordance with the COVID-19 safety measures. This descriptive (correlational) and analytics (cross-sectional) study was conducted in 284 nurses providing care to COVID-19 patients. This study Abbreviated Turkish Version of the Quality of Life Scale of the World Health Organization was used during the data collection stage to assess the quality of life of nurses. The data were entered in a statistical package program to be reviewed. The Cronbach's alpha value was used to determine the scale reliability. Significance level was set at (p<0.05). Results: In this study, sixty eight point seven percent of the nurses were working in intensive care unit, nurses 36,3% provided care to 1-2 patients in their shifts and 58,8% were working 49 hours of more in a week. Additionally, a significant difference was found between the Abbreviated Turkish Version of the Quality of Life Scale of the World Health Organization dimension scores of the nurses based on age, gender, having children and alcohol use (p<0.05). Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, a statistically significant positive relationship was found between the general health condition, physical health, psychological, social relationships and environmental dimension mean scores. Working conditions can be improved to increase the quality of life of nurses.
