Amaç: Koronavirüs hastalığı-2019 [coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19)]'un dünya çapında yaygınlaşması, eğitim sektöründe derin bir etki yaratmıştır. Eğitim sektörünün önemli aktörleri olan öğretmenler, salgından en çok etkilenen kişiler arasındadır. Bu araştırmada, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin, COVID-19 fobilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma, nicel araştırma türünde genel tarama modeli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Malatya'da görev yapan ve uygun örnekleme yöntemine göre seçilmiş 207 gönüllü beden eğitimi öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada, 'COVID-19 Fobisi Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın veri analizi için frekans ve yüzde gibi betimsel istatistikler ve COVID-19 fobisindeki farklılığın çeşitli değişkenlere göre test edilmesi için bağımsız örneklem t-testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Analiz sonuçları, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin COVID-19 fobilerinin cinsiyet, ikamet yeri, düzenli spor yapma, yakınlarından veya çevresinden herhangi birisine COVID-19 teşhisi konma durumlarına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Sonuç: Araştırma sonuçları, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin COVID-19 fobileri yaşadıklarını ortaya koymuştur. Araştırmada, kadın beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin COVID-19 kaynaklı fobilerden daha fazla etkilendikleri, ikamet yerinin öğretmenlerin COVID-19 fobi düzeylerini değiştirebileceği, düzenli yapılan spor aktivitelerinin COVID-19 fobilerine karşı koruyucu bir etki oluşturduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Objective: The world wide spread of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) has had a profound impact on the education sector. Teachers, who are important actors of the education sector, are among the people most affected by the epidemic. This aim of study was to examine physical education teachers' COVID-19 phobias. Material and Methods: The research was carried out using general survey model in quantitative research type. The sample of the study consisted of 207 volunteer physical education teachers who worked in Malatya and were selected in selected according to the convenience sampling method. 'COVID-19 Phobia Scale' was used in this study. Descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage and independent samples t-test was used to test the difference in COVID-19 phobia according to various variables. Results: Analysis indicated significant differences in COVID 10 phobias of physical education teachers with regard to sex, place of residence, regular sports, having their relatives diagnosed with COVID19. Conclusion: The research results revealed that physical education teachers experienced COVID-19 phobias. In the research, it was concluded that female physical education teachers are more affected by COVID-19-induced phobias, the place of residence can change the teachers' COVID-19 phobia levels, and regular sports activities have a protective effect against COVID-19 phobias.
