ABSTRACT
Objective: This study adapts ''VaccinaTion & Hpv Knowledge (THinK) questionnaire,'' by Matranga et al. to Turkish, testing its validity and reliability in this context. Material and Methods: The research involved 300 female participants who applied to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lokman Hekim University Ankara Hospital between December 2022-March 2023. Data were collected using face-to-face interviews. Statistical analyses employed SPSS (25.0) and AMOS (25.0) software. Results: Linguistic validity was established through translation-back translation with input from 4 experts and a Turkish language specialist. Exploratory factor analysis yielded a 16-item Turkish version with 3 subscales: ''Knowledge about vaccines'', ''Knowledge of HPV infection'' and ''Attitude to be vaccinated against HPV''. The total explained variance was calculated as 57.26%. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed 3-factor structure of the scale. Model fit indices were calculated as follows: χ2 /df=2.212, root mean square error of approximation=0.064, Comparative Fit Index=0.944, Goodness of Fit Index=0.935, Adjustment Goodness of Fit Index=0.903, Normed Fit Index=0.903, and Tucker-Lewis Index=0.928. Internal consistency and discriminant validity analyses supported the scale's reliability and validity. The internal consistency reliability coefficient (Cronbach's alpha) for the scale was calculated as 0.801. The Spearman-Brown coefficient was found to be 0.874. Conclusion: As a result of the Turkish adaptation, validity, and reliability analyses of ''THinK Questionnaire'', it was concluded that the three-factor structure of the scale is robust and that the scale can be used as a valid and reliable measurement tool.
