Objective: To determine the trends and hotspots of haemodialysis research in nursing between 2012-2021. Material and Methods: Data were obtained from Web of Science Core Collection database in July 2022. Analyses were performed with CiteSpace 6.1.R3. Co-citation, co-occurrence network, cluster and burst detection analysis of authors, cited authors, countries, institutions, cited journals and references, and keywords were performed. Results: The 961 original articles were included. The 343 authors and 542 institutions from 59 countries have performed haemodialysis research in nursing. The most productive author was Ana Luisa Brandao de Carvalho Lira (n=12). The most productive country and institution were United States of America (n=240) and University Sao Paulo (n=24). The journal that most published haemodialysis research in nursing was Nephrology Nursing Journal (n=204). The top 5 keywords were chronic kidney disease, quality of life, hemodialysis, dialysis and stage renal disease. The top 3 themes on keywords were intradialytic hypotension, home dialysis and undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Conclusion: This study showed that trends and hotspots of this area were keywords on chronic kidney disease, quality of life, haemodialysis, dialysis and stage renal disease, and themes on intradialytic hypotension, home dialysis and undergoing hemodialysis treatment. It is thought that our results can help researchers, healthcare professionals and institutions to find collaborating researchers, countries or institutions. Additionally, it is thought that evaluation of less researched topics such as adherence, experience, management, depression, haemodialysis nurses, close relative and qualitative study in future studies will contribute to promote progress on nursing care and to the deepening of the literature.
