Amaç: Geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp (GETAT) uygulama merkezine başvuran bireylerin tutumlarını, başvurma nedenlerini ve memnuniyet düzeylerini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı tarzda olan bu çalışma, Elazığ Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Akşemseddin Geleneksel ve Tamamlayıcı Tıp Merkezine başvuran gönüllü 261 birey ile Kasım 2017-Mart 2018 tarihleri arasında yürütülmüştür. Anket formundan elde edilen veriler SPSS 15.0 paket programına kodlanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistiksel yöntemlerin yanı sıra kategorik değişkenler için ki-kare analizi, bağımlı gruplarda ise Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılanların yaş ortalaması 49,07±14,60 yıl olup; katılımcıların %57,5' i kadın, %28,0'ı üniversite ve üzeri mezunudur. Bireylerin %85,4'ü GETAT uygulamalarının fayda sağlayacağını, %72,8'i bu uygulamaların kendini iyi hissettiren uygulamalar olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Bireylerin GETAT uygulamalarına yönelik tutumlarının olumlu olduğu saptanmıştır. Katılımcıların GETAT uygulamalarına başvuru sebeplerinde ilk sırada; genel sağlık ve iyilik halini artırmak (%19,1), ikinci sırada ağrıları gidermek (%18,9) yer almaktadır. Bireylerin %58,2'sinin GETAT uygulamalarına devam etmeyi düşündüğü, %60,9'unun ise yakın çevrelerine, arkadaşlarına tavsiye etmeyi düşündükleri belirlenmiştir. Bireylerin memnuniyet düzeylerinin olumlu olduğu saptanmıştır. Ağrı ile başvuranların memnuniyet düzeyleri incelendiğinde ağrı skorlarının düştüğü tespit edilmiştir. Bireylerin GETAT uygulama öncesi vizüel analog skala değerleri 7,48±1,35 iken, GETAT uygulamaları sonrası 4,66±2,15'e düştüğü görülmektedir. Sonuç: GETAT uygulamalarına yönelik bireylerin tutumları ve memnuniyet düzeylerinin olumlu olduğu belirlenmiştir. Başvuru sebeplerinde çoğunlukla genel sağlık-iyilik halini artırmak ve ağrının yer aldığı görülmüştür.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes, reasons and satisfaction levels of individuals who applied to traditional and complementary medicine center. Material and Method: This descriptive study was conducted between November 2017-March 2018 with a total of 261 volunteers who applied to Elazıg Training and Research Hospital Aksemseddin Traditional and Complementary Medical Center. The data obtained from the questionnaire were coded to SPSS 15.0 package program. In addition to descriptive statistical methods, chi-square analysis was used for categorical variables and Wilcoxon signed ranks test was used in dependent groups. Results: The mean age of the participants was 49.07±14.60 and 57.5% of the participants were women, 28.0% were university graduates and above. 85.4% of the individuals stated that traditional and complementary medicine would benefit, and 72.8% stated that they are practices that make you feel good. The attitudes of individuals towards traditional and complementary medicine practices were found to be positive. The reasons for applying the traditional and complementary medicine practices of the participants are; to improve overall health and well-being (19.1%), secondly relieving pain (18.9%). It was determined that 58.2% of the individuals think to continue the traditional and complementary medicine practices and 60.9% think to recommend it to their friends. Satisfaction levels of the individuals were found to be positive. When the satisfaction levels of the participants with pain were examined, it was found that the pain scores decreased. Visuel analog scale values of individuals before traditional and complementary medicine practices were 7.48±1.35, but decreased to 4.66±2.15 after traditional and complementary medicine practices. Conclusion: It has been concluded that individuals' attitudes and satisfaction levels against traditional and complementary medicine practices were positive. The reasons for application were mostly to improve overall health-well-being and pain.
