Objective: The research was conducted to determine the relationship between cardiovascular risk levels and healthy lifestyle behaviors in individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Material and Methods: The research was conducted cross-sectionally in the endocrinology clinic of a university hospital between April and October 2022 with 131 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The research data was collected with the Patient information form, Framingham risk score and Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale-II questionnaire. In data analysis, one-way analysis of variance,MannWhitney U, Kruskall-Wallis tests were used as a result of normal distributiontest along with descriptive statistics such as number, percentage, mean, and Spearman Correlation test was used in correlation analysis.p<0.05 was accepted as the significance level. Results: In the study, it was determined that the participants' mean Framingham cardiovascular risk score score was 10.48±4.52, and their Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale mean score was 96.10±17. A weak positive significant correlation was found between Framingham cardiovascular risk total score and age, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure (p<0.05).. There was no significant statistical relationship between the Framingham cardiovascular risk total score and the Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale total score and subscale scores (p>0.05). Conclusion: In line with the results obtained in the study, it is recommended that nurses plan nursing interventions and provide training to individuals on preventable cardiovascular risk factors such as compliance with diabetes treatment, prevention and management of chronic diseases, control of hypertension and weight control in individuals with Type 2 diabetes.
