ÖZET
 Amaç: İnme geçiren hastalarda pulse oksimetre ile oksijen saturasyonu değerlerinde sağlam taraf ile paretik/plejik taraf arasında ölçüm farkı olup olmadığının belirlenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Yarı deneysel özellikteki araştırmanın evrenini Ege Üniversitesi Hastanesi (Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi)'nin Nöroloji Yoğun Bakım Ünitesinde yatan, inme tanısı almış paretik/plejik hastalar, örneklemini ise araştırmanın sınırlılıklarına uyan ve çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 63 hasta oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında, Hasta Tanıtım Formu ve Fizyolojik Parametreler İzlem Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde 'Paired sample t-testi' ve korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Etik kurul onayı ve kurum izni alınmıştır. Bulgular: İnmeli bireylerin yaş ortalamaları 68,85±1,48 yıldır. Bireylerin %47,6'sı kadın ve %52,4'ü erkektir. Bireylerin sağlam taraf ile paretik/plejik taraftan yapılan saturasyon ölçüm ortalamalarında anlamlı fark saptanmıştır (p=0,022). Kas gücü düzeyine göre saturasyon ölçüm ortalamaları karşılaştırıldığında ise paretik bireylerde sağlam taraf ile paretik taraf arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanırken (p=0,019), plejik bireylerde 2 taraf arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanmamıştır (p=0,423). Sonuç: Paretik ve plejik bireylerde sağlam ve paretik/plejik taraftan yapılan saturasyon ölçüm ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanmış olmasına rağmen bu farkın klinik uygulamalarda çok önemli olmadığı düşünülerek, bu bireylerde her iki taraftan da pulse oksimetre cihazı ile oksijen saturasyonu ölçümü yapılması önerilmektedir.

ABSTRACT
 Objective: To determine whether there is a difference in measurement between the intact side and the paralyzed side in oxygen saturation values with pulse oximetry in individuals with stroke. Material and Methods: The population of this semi-experimental study consisted of paretic/plegic patients hospitalized in the Neurology Intensive Unit of Ege University Hospital (Application and Research Center), diagnosed with stroke, and the sample consisted of 63 patients who met the criteria and agreed to participate. Patient Information Form and Physiological Parameters Follow-up Form were used for data collection. Paired sample t test and correlation test were used for data analysis. Ethics committee approval and institutional licenses have been obtained. Results: The average age of individuals with stroke is 68.85±1.48 years. 47.6% of the individuals are women and 52.4% are men. Significantly meaningful difference has been determined in the mean saturation measurements of the individuals between healthy and paralyzed side (p=0.022). While saturation measurement averages were compared according to the level of muscle strength, a statistically significant difference was determined between the healthy side and the paralyzed side in hemiparetic individuals (p=0.019), significantly meaningful difference between the 2 sides in hemiplegic individuals was not determined (p=0.423). Conclusion: Although statistically significant difference was determined between the average saturation measurements from the healthy and paralyzed sides in paretic and plegic individuals, considering such difference is not very significant in clinical practice, it is recommended to measure oxygen saturation with a pulse oximeter device on both sides of these individuals.

4.2. People benefiting from the services provided by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and using the website can use the "SITE" only according to the law and only for personal reasons. 8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
