ÖZET
Bu tanımlayıcı kesitsel çalışma, hastaların tedavi ve bakım süreçlerinde fiziksel ve bilgi mahremiyetinin korunmasına yönelik deneyim ve görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma, 1 Ekim 2017-31 Mart 2018 tarihleri arasında Başkent Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi hastanesinin erişkin kliniklerinde tedavi ve bakım hizmeti alan 172 hasta ile yürütülmüştür. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacılar tarafından literatürden yararlanılarak oluşturulan 48 soruluk veri toplama formu kullanılmış, veriler SPSS 15.0 programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Hastaların yaş ortalaması 49,7±17,0 olup, %62,2'si kadın, %83,1'i evli ve %34,9'u lise mezunudur. Hastalar, bir bireyin mahremiyet hakkını bireyin özel yaşamına saygı (%43,4), bireye ait bilgilerin başka bireylerle paylaşılmaması (%38,3) olarak tanımlamışlardır. Hastaların, %83,7'si tedavi ve bakım süreçlerinde fiziksel mahremiyet ile ilgili sorun yaşamadıkları, sorun yaşayan hastaların %46,6'sı fiziksel muayene ve bakımlar sırasında vücudunun başkalarının görebilecek şekilde uygulama yapılması ile ilgili sorun yaşadıkları, bu sorunu en çok hemşirelerle (%40,0) yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir. Hastaların %74,4'ü sağlık çalışanları tarafından hastanın kendisine ait bilgilerin başkalarının yanında paylaşılmadığını bildirmiştir. Hastaya ait bilgilerin, başkaları yanında paylaşıldığını bildiren hastaların %63,4'ü bu bilgilerin diğer hasta ve yakınlarının yanında ve en çok hemşirelerin hasta başı teslimlerinde (%46,4) paylaşıldığını ifade etmiştir. Sağlık çalışanlarına yapılacak farkındalık eğitimleri ile hasta mahremiyetine gösterilen önemin artırılacağı, mahremiyetin sağlanmasına ve sürdürülmesine ilişkin uygulamalara yönelik önlemlerin alınması ile mahremiyet ihlallerinin önlenebileceği düşünülmektedir.

ABSTRACT
This descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out to determine the experiences and opinions of the patients regarding the protection of their physical and information privacy in the treatment and care processes. The study was conducted with 172 patients receiving treatment and care services at a university hospital adult clinics between October 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018. Data were collected using a 48-item questionnaire developed by the researchers based on literature and was evaluated using SPSS 15.0 program. The mean age of the patients was 49.7±17.0, of which 62.2% were female, 83.1% were married and 34.9% were high school graduates. Patients defined an individual's right to privacy as respect for an individual's personal space (43.4%) and not sharing individual information with others (38.3%). 83.7% of the patients did not have any problems with physical privacy during their treatment and care processes; who had problems, 46.6% of the patients had problems during physical examination and care with the application of their body in a way that others could see, and that they had the most problems with nurses (40.0%). 74.4% of the patients reported that the information of the patient was not shared among the others by the healthcare professionals. 63.4% of the patients, who reported that the patient's information was shared with others, stated that this information was shared among other patients and their relatives, and that the patients' information was mostly shared in the patient hand-off (46.4%). It is thought that the importance given to patient privacy will be increased with awareness trainings to be provided to healthcare professionals, and violations of privacy can be prevented by taking precautions for practices related to ensuring and maintaining privacy.

1. TERMS OF USE

1.1. - Providing structural, statistical and editorial support to article preparation stage for scientific journals.

4. GENERAL PROVISIONS

4.1. "Turkiye Klinikleri" is completely free to determine which of the services and contents provided in the "SITE" will be charged.

4.2. People benefiting from the services provided by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and using the website can use the "SITE" only according to the law and only for personal reasons. Users have the criminal and civil liability for every process and action they take in the "SITE". Being late or failure of performance or non-defaulting of this and similar cases like this will not be the case from the viewpoint of "Turkiye Klinikleri", and "Turkiye Klinikleri" will not have any damage liability for these situations. "Force majeure" term will be regarded as outside of the concerned party's reasonable control and any situation that "Turkiye Klinikleri" cannot prevent even though it shows due diligence. Also, force majeure situations include but not limited to natural disasters, rebellion, war, strike, communication problems, infrastructure and internet failure, power cut and bad weather conditions.

8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
